This explains what personal data FrogleapSoftware.io(“we”) collects when you use ridgefrontier.studio, why, and the rights you have. We are the data controller. Our address is Chapel Gardens, Nemestown, Ireland. Contact us any time at hello@ridgefrontier.studio.

What we collect and why

  • Account: your email address and a hashed password, plus when you agreed to our Terms. Needed to run your account (contract).
  • Photos and clips: the photos you upload and the clips we make from them. We strip location and camera data from every upload. Needed to provide the service (contract).
  • Edit balance and purchases: your free and paid edit balances and a history of purchases, refunds and adjustments. Needed to provide the service (contract) and to keep financial records (legal obligation).
  • Abuse prevention: a one-way fingerprint (hash) of your email address, so the free welcome edit can only be claimed once per inbox, and short-lived rate-limit counters. This is in our legitimate interest of keeping the free tier fair.
  • Support: anything you tell us when you ask for a review (“Not happy?”) or email us.

We don't run analytics or advertising trackers, we don't sell your data, and we never use your photos to train AI models. We don't make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similar effects.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the studio, each under a contract that limits how they use your data:

  • fal.ai (USA): processes your photo to generate your clip.
  • Stripe: takes payments. We never see or store your card details.
  • Our hosting provider: runs the servers that store your account, photos and clips.

Some of these providers are outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Photos, clips and your account: until you delete them or your account.
  • Purchase and refund records: 6 years, as tax law requires.
  • The email fingerprint described above: kept after account deletion so the free edit can't be claimed again. It can't be turned back into your address.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can delete your account, photos and clips yourself at any time from the Accountpage, or email us and we'll do it within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. See the Cookie policy.

Children

Ridge Frontier is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has an account, tell us and we'll delete it.

Emails

We only send emails you need for your account: verification and password resets. No marketing, so there's nothing to unsubscribe from.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app.
